If you want to keep things super simple, we recommend purchasing NO EARLIER than a month before the gifting date to ensure the slime is as fresh as possible!
Here’s the full context (if you’re interested):
Slime’s main ingredients are glue and activator, that’s what turns it from glue into a more putty-like substance. However, over the course of time the activator “evaporates” – well, I don’t know the chemical term for it – but basically the bonds between them break down and it slowly turns back into glue causing the slime to get sticky.
It’ll start getting a bit sticky after a few weeks, and then after 1-2 months can start getting very sticky. This is still fixable with our included activator pens, BUT it’s not a great gifting experience if you get it and it’s completely melted. It’s much more manageable to simply add a bit of activator every few weeks instead of waiting until it’s fully melted after a few months.
HOWEVER – we do have some slime textures that don’t get sticky nearly as quickly! We’ll cover it more in the next section, but these slimes actually don’t get sticky for over 3 months. However, as many of them are multi-colored, we still don’t recommend buying them too far in advance or the colors may begin to mix.
